GSCB
Adult Training Patch
This patch is earned in sections.
No application
is required. Sections III - VI can be purchased from the Bay
Shop.
Section I - Trained Leadership
This section is
earned by a volunteer who has completed Basic Leadership
Training, Part A:
All About Girl Scouting. It will be provided
to everyone completing Basic A.
Section II - Age Level Program
It can be earned by
a volunteer who has completed Basic Leadership, Part B: Basics
of Age Level Program. It will be provided to everyone
completing their first age level training.
Section III - Art
This section can be
earned by a volunteer who participates in a workshop on different
topics in art and crafts.
Section IV
- Beyond Basics
It can be earned by
a volunteer who participates
in additional training programs
including: Service Team training, special skills workshops,
refresher courses, and other enrichment opportunities.
Section V - Outdoor
It is earned by a
volunteer who attends an outdoor training, including: Camping
Basics I, Camping Basics II, Beyond the Basics, Outdoor
Exploration, Outdoor Adventures I & II, Advanced Camping,
Orienteering, Backpacking, Leave No Trace, or American Camping Association Courses. |

Please mark your calendars regarding this important date. For
further information on Adult Recognitions review the "Adult
Recognitions in Girl Scouting" publication. Talk to your Service Unit
Recognitions Chair to find out how you can get a copy. It
contains all you need to know about recognitions and
procedures for recommending someone.

Please note - you can download the WORD versions of these forms,
fill them in, save them, then email them to Adult Enrichment to
either Bernice Chandler

Leadership Development Pin
A candidate for this pin must have completed Basic Leadership courses A and
B, CPR/FA and Outdoor Training (can be completed by leader or troop resource
person) and must have completed one year as a leader, assistant leader, or
group coordinator. The Adult Education Manager reviews applications and
sends approval to the designated service unit team members.
Volunteers who earn the Leadership Development Pin and take at least 10
hours of additional training may be eligible to receive a green leaf
(attaches to Leadership Development Pin.) After receiving five green leaves,
the recipient may replace them with one silver leaf. Five silver leaves may
be replaced by one gold leaf.

Applications for these awards are reviewed by
Volunteer Services. Applications for the Outstanding Volunteer and
Outstanding Leader are reviewed by Volunteer Services. If all
requirements are met, the award is authorized and may be
presented at an appropriate service unit function. The Years
of Service Pin (given in 5 year increments) is presented at
the service unit level. The pin may be presented at the Annual
Meeting to volunteers with 15 or more years of adult service.
The deadline for years of service to be presented at the
annual meeting is March 15. Please submit names even if
they dont plan to attend the meeting. We would like to
recognize their achievement in the program. |
