FEBRUARY

It’s Your Story-Tell it! With Pictures

WHO: Girl Scout Juniors

COST : $8 per girl

 

Bring 4-5 (or more) of your favorite theme-related, action-shot pictures and use them to tell your story. We will be creating a mini scrapbook and learning the terminology used in making scrapbooks.  Pictures may be cropped or cut. Please make copies of favorite pictures prior to event. Min.: 12, Max.: 25

Sing It!

WHO: Girl Scout Juniors

WHEN: February 18, 2012, 9:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

WHERE: Newark Resource Center, Newark, DE

COST: $12 for current Girl Scouts, $15 for non-Girl Scouts.

 

NOTE: Love to sing? Enjoy a performance by UD's Vocal Point, learn about beatbox, breath support, and other vocal techniques, and sing a Girl Scout song with a new twist!

Camp-In

WHO: Girl Scout Juniors

WHEN: Various Friday or Saturday Nights, January through April

WHERE: Maryland Science Center

COST: $40/person, adult and child alike.

 

NOTE: Camp-In is a one-night overnight experience for Girl Scout Juniors that centers around informal science learning.   Includes workshops, Planetarium, IMAX, souvenirs, snack and breakfast.

100 Years of Music and Movement

WHO: Girl Scout Brownies and Juniors

WHEN: March 24, 2012

WHERE: Newark Resource Center, Newark, DE

COST: $10 for current Girl Scouts, $12 for non-Girl Scouts.

 

NOTE: Ever wonder what music was cool when your mom, grandma or even great-grandma was your age? Experience popular music from each decade through dance! Have fun swing dancing, hand jiving, and moonwalking your way through music's past!
