Girl Scout Brownies through Cadettes

Go on a fantastic journey to Puerto Rico. Experience the culture, food, craft, dance, language and more of this country.

Earth Day – Ray Street
Girl Scout Daisies through Juniors (Grades K-5)

Join the residents of Ray Street on the campus of the University of Delaware to celebrate Earth Day. Girls will enjoy a brief presentation from Ray Street residents and participate in a sustainable activity.

Storm the Castle: Basic Catapults – Camp Country Center **This program is now full.**
Girl Scout Brownies and Juniors

Design and build a variety of catapults and test them to see how far your objects can fly! Teams can start planning for the October 2014 beginner-level competition at Camp Todd.

Girl Scout Night with the Delmarva Shore Birds
All Girl Scout grade levels and families/friends

WHEN: Saturday, April 26, Scavenger hunts starts at 6 p.m. Girl Scout parade start approximately 6:30 p.m. Game starts at 7:05 PM.
WHERE: Arthur W. Perdue Stadium, Salisbury, MD
Calling all Girl Scouts and Families! Bring your Girl Scout troop out to Arthur W. Perdue Stadium for a baseball game and great fun! Girls will have the opportunity to participate in activities throughout the night. Register 20 or more Girl Scouts to receive special recognition during the game! All Girl Scouts also get to participate in a pregame parade around the field. Audition for an opportunity to perform the national anthem at a game. One troop will also have the chance to present the colors during the anthem if registered by March 21!

COST: $7 per general admission ticket. Includes special participation patch. $6 each for any remaining tickets.

Healthy Body, Healthy Mind - Top Notch Karate
Girl Scout Daisies through Ambassadors

Karate is not just about self-defense. It teaches self-discipline, focus, control, pride and courage while laying a foundation for an active and healthy lifestyle. Join us as we learn about the basics of karate and how exercise, nutrition and lifestyle choices can impact physical and mental health.

Discover the five senses through fun, innovative, hands-on science experiments. We will explore how our eyes and ears work, blind spots, optical illusions, and the wonders of sound. We will test our amazing senses of smell, taste and touch to discover how our bodies allow us to perceive and interpret our world.

Enjoy a day experimenting with different baits and techniques to catch pond fish as well as talk with an owner of a Christmas tree farm. Sponsored by the Maryland Saltwater Sport Fishing Association.

Necessity is the mother of invention! Look at your world in a different way to discover where there is a need for a new invention. Take apart everyday objects to see how they work and think creatively to solve a problem by inventing a new working contraption.

Nature Power - Cooch-Dayett Mills
Girl Scout Daisies through Ambassadors

Explore the ins and outs of historic Cooch- Dayett Mills and discover how water generates energy to run all its machines. Then harness the ultimate power source – the sun! Observe our star with a specially-filtered telescope, do a solar power experiment, construct a simple sundial, make your own solar print and use a solar oven.

Bugs – Iron Hill Museum
Girl Scout Brownies (Grades 2-3)

Explore the world of insects through this interactive program while talking to an insect specialist. Make your own insect as well as an insect cocoon. Explore outside the museum and watch insects up close.

COST: $9 per girl, includes Bugs badge.
