Welcome to Girl Scout Camp!

camp

Girls love camp! It is exciting and chock-full of amazing activities and opportunities for new adventures. And we at Girl Scouts want to maike sure every girl has the opportunity to enjoy the traditional camp outings we all grew up with, while also taking advantage of  the AMAZING variety of contemporary outdoor pursuits that camp allows them. In short, we want girls to have the camp experience they've always dreamed of.

Did you know...

Girl Scouts who have monthly outdoor experiences* (40%):

Are stronger problem solvers.
Are better challenge seekers.
Are more likely to recommend Girl Scouting to their friends.

Girls' Choice Outdoor Badge available!

Girl Scouts is developed several outdoor badges to add to its program for the 2015-2016 troop year. For the first time ever, girls were able to choose what those badges will be. Voting for badge category closed November 30, 2014 and specific badges were voted on in December 2014.

Outdoor Exploration was the clear winner and GSUSA developed relevant badges for the program. Each grade level has a specific outdoor focus.

Visit GSUSA's shop page for requirements and badge info.!

Attention all GSCB camp supporters!

Whether you are a former camper, staff, volunteer, or just a supporter of one of our beautiful camp properties - we are seeking your help!  The Kaleidoscope study conducted last fall reviewed all of our camp programs and properties and we are now hard at work reviewing and implementing recommendations to improve all of our properties.

We've brought a new Director of Outdoor Program and Property Director, Laura Arrington, to GSCB to lead the charge. Laura brings a great deal of enthusiasm and experience leading Girl Scout camps and outdoor programs.

One of Laura's first tasks, as shared during this year's Annual Meeting, is creating support groups, one for each of our unique camp properties. If you are passionate about helping our camps grow and flourish for decades of girls to come, read further to learn more about what we are doing and how you can be a part of it.  The Girl Scouts of the future will thank you!
