2013 marks our 10th Anniversary of Operation Taste of Home!

Operation Taste of Home is a program that allows customers to support Girl Scouts, military troops and charities on the Delmarva Peninsula.  Share a touch of luxury and help us send Girl Scout Cookies, magazines and nuts to our military troops around the world or to those in need of a treat on the Delmarva Peninsula by collecting donations for Operation Taste of Home.

Thanks to generous people like you, we have donated over 323,000 boxes
of Girl Scout Cookies since 2003 to men and women in the Armed Forces
and to numerous charities across the peninsula!

Girl Scout troops participating in the 2013 Girl Scout Cookie Program may invite customers to participate in this project by purchasing a box (or boxes) of their favorite Girl Scout Cookies to be given to those in need of a touch of luxury.

Customers may buy cookies for $4 per box and designate their purchase as an Operation Taste of Home donation. This contribution is tax deductible. Customers will not receive the boxes of cookies they purchase for this service project. Girl Scouts of the Chesapeake Bay will have cookies delivered to military troops and to the local charities listed above.The customers’ donations will still benefit Girl Scouts, as girls and troops will receive full credit toward rewards and troop proceeds for all cookies sold as donations.

2012 Fall Product Sales For the first time in the fall of 2011, customers of our Fall Product Sales Program were able to participate in Operation Taste of Home. Customers purchased magazine and nut vouchers for $5 each. Magazine vouchers were donated to military troops and the nuts were donated to local food banks on the Delmarva Peninsula. The program was very successful. Our generous customers donated 1048 magazine vouchers to military personnel and 860 cans of Honey Roasted Peanuts to food banks.   We're processing our 2012 Fall Product Sales Program information now, as it has just wrapped up. We'll post current stats as we calculate them! Thanks to all who participated this year!
